The experience based on "Give a v( )ice to" project.
BACKGROUND

This concept shares the difficulties that individuals have in finding their individual identity around the collectivism society of South Korea




Collectivism -- Individualism



To create experience I wrote down which kind of steps are needed for VR experience. I needed the interactions which grab the objects first and collect them onto the table and the room colour will be changed and the tables are disappeared.


There's the room which represents Collectivism society which is full of same table and achromatic colour of office form. I created the model of table in the Blender the important point of the model is check the right face of the meshes.

I modelled the objects which are necessary on my VR experience. Which are started from the room, table, objects for past, present, future, and final table. When I create the assets, most of all begins from plan then keep extruding, mirroring to create symmetry objects, duplicate, and subdivided through subdivision.

Objects represent the past, present, future.





TEXTURE
After created the assets in the Blender I saved them as FBX only the mesh type and imported them in to the Unity. And for the texture, I used the Materials by adjusting metallic, roughness, and emission. And some of texture for desks are download as image and put into the alembic.



In this room, you need to find and Collect objects on the table.
INTERACTION

I add Canvas + Text on the table as instruction for player.
In the game, to put every objects on the floor and make them as grabale, I add "Rigidbody" with use gravity, "XR Grab interactable", and "Box/Mesh/Sphere collider" for each object.

For dditional visual effects, I add coding for text rotation.

Script that I use for Rotation

When you collect every objects on the table, environment changes as colorful color which means truely be yourself.
So I add script that generating event when you collect all 3 objects on to the table.
Which first, Room color will be change as colorful color,
Second, Tables and objects will be disappeared,
Third, Door to outside will be poped up,
Forth, Message will be come out.

Want testers experience hardness to find individualty in strong sense of togetherness of the group in collectivism culture.
When:
During the game test human's emotion of struggle and stress in the process of searching identity. And after complished game how people feel.
What:
User's emotion during the game and end of the game feeling. And difficulty to finish application.
Who:
People who have struggle to find indivuality in their life. And People who want to experience finding individuality in collectivism culture.

Test Script
Set-up: One tester in a Room which has dark and achromatic color and identical environment, and need to find 3 objects which present Past, Present, Future. The if you collected objects in different table, the room color will change as colorful and vivid colorwhich represents individuality and door to world came out.
Protocol: When the application start, tester need to find 3 objects in all over the room. Couldn't finish before done for game. Time will be measure during application.
The researcher should fill out a survey after expereince.
