Interdisciplinary Teamwork

Throughout this semester, I had the opportunity to build connections with my group mates and gain insights into their strengths and weaknesses. This understanding has been crucial in ensuring the smooth functioning of our team. I have discovered that our group mates are exceptionally creative and passionate about game development. It was fascinating for me to listen to their perspectives, as they offered fresh insights that I had not previously considered. This experience has taught me the importance of embracing different viewpoints and approaching projects from new angles. Looking ahead to the next sprint, my goal is to solidify our work and delve deeper into the design phase, allowing us to envision our project more concretely.

Sprint2: During each sprint, my goal is to deliver on the commitments I make. For instance, in a classroom setting, when we promise to complete certain tasks, I ensure I accomplish them, such as creating a visual concept mood board and producing visual art. However, I acknowledge that there are areas for improvement, such as being more punctual with managing time and presenting completed work in smaller increments throughout the week instead of all at once in the end. Additionally, I aim to enhance my technical interaction skills. In the current sprint, I focused on animation and visual design, which I find particularly engaging and enjoyable.

Sprint 1: In terms of feedback, I have successfully produced work of high quality, which has positively contributed to our group's overall output. However, I recognize that I have dedicated a significant amount of time to my tasks, and I could improve by providing more frequent updates to my group mates. Plus, I should actively share my work progress with other members of the group. During this sprint, my main learning experience revolved around independently figuring out the C# code, asking relevant questions along the way, and gaining a deeper understanding of what needs to be fixed. Looking ahead to the next sprint, I am excited to explore how our individual contributions will be combined to create a cohesive end result.

Sprint 4:  Throughout this sprint, I have remained committed to ensuring timely delivery of my work, as this is a essential aspect of effective teamwork. I have actively engaged in communication with my teammates, providing updates on my progress as well as staying updated on their work. I have asked numerous questions and received helpful learning from them. However, I acknowledge that I could have taken more initiative to figure things out on my own instead of relying on constant questions. Additionally, I recognize the importance of being punctual and could have improved in that aspect. I am pleased to note that our collective efforts have resulted in a functional outcome, although there are still minor issues to address. Furthermore, I am delighted to have had the opportunity to incorporate my visual design skills into our work.

Final reflection: I have played the roles of both an executor and a developer, ensuring that I fulfill my commitments on time with attention to detail and high-quality outcomes. Although some tasks required significant time and effort, I consistently managed to complete them and deliver the results to our group. Through this process, I have learned the value of providing regular updates on my work, even when working towards a designated deadline. Sharing my workflow with the group members and maintaining clear communication has proven to be beneficial. Collaborating with individuals from different areas of expertise has been an enjoyable experience. I have embraced their approaches and ideas, integrating them into my own work, ultimately leading to better outcomes. This collaborative approach has allowed me to expand my ideas and perspectives, enriching my overall work experience.
